Topics for the refresher course will include:
Advanced CIT is a two-day course designed for individuals who have completed the Basic 40-hour CIT training and are looking to further develop their skills in effectively responding to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. The course builds upon the foundations established in Basic CIT and includes site visits to local crisis continuum resources. Topics include co-occurring disorders, psychotropic medications, cultural implications and competency, and guardianship considerations.
Attendance in the CIT Refresher course is recommended for individuals who completed Basic CIT more than five years ago prior to attending Advanced CIT.
Lunch will be catered both days.
