Mental Health First Aid
The CIT Council has partnered with Johnson County Mental Health to provide the 8 hour Mental Health First Aid for Public Safety class. These classes are available to all agencies in Johnson County involved in emergency services and the criminal justice system.
Mental Health First Aid for Public Safety provides law officers and staff with more response options to help them de-escalate incidents and better understand mental illnesses so they can respond to mental health-related situations appropriately without compromising safety.
